Summary of Professional Experience:
I have been working in Shipbuilding, Ship-repairing and Offshore construction fields since 1982 (in total 34 years). 23 years worked as a welding engineer and a manager for Russian ship-repairing enterprise. During that time, I grew up as professional and got a great experience and understanding of working processs. Since 1995 I was involved in numerous of ship-repair/ship-building/offshore construction for the foreign Clients and successfully managed to be one of the key person in the Project Team
After leaving shipyard in 2005 I spent 2 years working for several Norwegian Companies (see details below), where got experience of work in International Team in cooperation with professional co-workers.
From 2007 till 2015 I was employed by DNV (then DNV GL) as New Building General Surveyor. (Last 3 years in DNV GL I was working in Korea at DSME Offshore Station) During that time, I got a lot of knowledge about ship and offshore classification and became to be multidiscipline specialist covering Hull Fabrication and Erection, NDT, Piping and Mechanical Systems, Drilling equipment and Systems Installation, its Commissioning and Sea Trial. In my daily work it was demanded to be familiar with hundreds of internal and international Standards and Code such as DNV Rules and Offshore Standards, SOLAS, MODU Code, NORSOK M-101, R-002, C-004, S-001 and others, NMA and PSA regulations, ASME, ASTM, AWS Codes and many others. The Company Policy and working environment encouraged me to be gentle, reactive, responsive on-time, specific in communication, result oriented and to never compromise quality and integrity. I guess I could manage to comply with those characteristics. It was a greate advantage to work in multicultural environment with very experienced and professional colleagues.
Since October, 2015, I've been working for Mediterranean Shipping Company at DSME site office as Hull Surveyor looking after construction of six Container Ships 19170 TEU
